$2 Billion (SBIR) and $30 Million (STTR) pools are available in federal funding throughout the United States (including grants for high tech Connecticut Companies). Unfortunately, not enough Connecticut companies know the funding is out there for SBIR grants (up to $100,000 in Phase 1 and up to $750,000 in Phase 2 are available to high tech companies).

SBIR represents a way to have the government fund new product development and new business development (R&D) without taking out loans and without giving up equity or intellectual property. If you are a small technology business, majority US-owned firm with less than 500 employees -- or if you are a large corporation that wants to work or partner with a small high tech company-- please take the time to learn more about the grant money available through the SBIR and STTR Programs.

Nanotechnology Grants

Our selection committee has made their decisions: GenCell Corporation, MysticMD, and Mott Corporation have all won Nanotechnology Grants. Congratulations to all.
